Orange Genetic
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a world where vibrant shades of orange are not just a color but a mood, an invitation to an enchanted place where cannabis genetics intertwine with the flavor and aroma of citrus. This category, with its colorful pattern and juicy flavor profile, is Orange, whose seeds are not just planting material, but time capsules waiting for their moment and harboring the uniqueness of nature, fickle twists of fate, coincidences, and, of course, human genius.

History
It all began in California in the 1970s. Interest in recreational cannabis was gaining momentum, and many leading breeders and small communities of growers headed to the Golden State. United, like-minded individuals achieved significant success, and soon the world was witnessing the results of their genetic experiments. Overseas, Amsterdam became the European cannabis mecca during these same years, and much like the California scene, it acted as a magnet, attracting the best breeders and geneticists. Connections and similarities between Amsterdam and California in the cannabis realm remain strong to this day.
The Dutch Passion seed bank was officially established in the 1980s, but Hank van Dalen, the founder of Dutch Passion, was already a passionate cannabis grower and geneticist in the 1970s. Collecting the best cannabis samples was something Hank had been doing for many years, as the lion's share of Amsterdam's cannabis was imported during those years.
Weed flooded into the city from all over the world, often in seeded buds – a priceless find for growers at the time. For several years, Hank collected his genetic stock. The best seeds were later used by Dutch Passion for breeding projects.
The early success of Dutch Passion was due to networking, and the road tour through California in the 1970s was an excellent opportunity to discover cannabis strains with rich citrus aromas. The flavor of lemons and oranges was there, and the potency was truly amazing. The genetics made their way to Amsterdam, where the original mother plants were selected and used to launch the production of seeds for European growers.
The combination of fruity and citrus genetics was popular at the time and remains so today. Dutch Passion's Californian Orange was stabilized and introduced to the market. This high-THC strain has magical, intensely Californian effects that are both uplifting and relaxing. The buds are exceptionally sticky and popular with concentrate enthusiasts. Similarly, in the early 1980s, some early Dutch Skunk strains were bred and refined over several generations to produce a special orange phenotype. The result was the famous Orange Bud, a refreshing, skunky, potent strain known for its anxiety-relieving properties. It can still be found in Dutch coffee shops today.

Features
It is important to note that not all carriers of Orange genetics will necessarily have a citrus flavor. Often, the presence of Orange genetics is only indicated by the colorful, fiery stigmas enveloping the buds. As for the flavor of oranges, it is associated with a terpene called limonene. It typically goes hand in hand with myrcene, adding earthy notes to the overall sketch.
The dominance of indica and sativa varies from strain to strain. Furthermore, the ratio of THC to CBD can be radically different. Therefore, it is more logical to look for similarities in the terpene profile. The recreational effects are powerful, invigorating, and uplifting. The therapeutic potential effectively counteracts general fatigue, mood swings, depression, anxiety, relieves pain and inflammation.
